------------ Once again this year, we served "Botan Soba" at the "Komise Festival" in the central shopping district of Kuroishi. We prepared 350 servings for each of the two days—September 20 and 21— and sold out the total of 700 servings before 1:00 PM. It is an exhausting event; as a group of "late-stage elderly" individuals, the physical strain is significant. While the preparatory work began days in advance, the hand-kneading and cutting of the soba noodles took place starting at 5:00 AM on the day of the event. Our ten members divided the tasks among themselves according to the various stages of production. However, we have gradually lost some of our original members, and our pool of cooperating volunteers has shrunk. I am concerned that we may no longer be able to keep up with the current level of visitor demand. I would like to pass the baton to the younger generation, but I am unsure of the best way to go about it. ------------
